Club nights on Tuesday 4

Four Viennese clubs give Tuesday as their evening, and three of them meet in a café or a restaurant. tschaturanga plays at Café Merkur in Josefstadt and moves to the Gangl beer garden at the old general hospital in summer; its page asks new guests to get in touch before their first visit. Schachklub Hernals meets at Café Kreuzberg in Neustiftgasse, and Schachklub Aljechin-Wieden at the restaurant Goldener Löwe by Südtirolerplatz, where the evening runs by arrangement.

In Simmering the 1. Simmeringer Schachklub starts earliest, in the late afternoon, in the cafeteria of the local sports club on Simmeringer Hauptstraße. The Chess Unlimited calendar lists free Saturday training at the club in October as well.
