Vienna Chess

Suggest a club, venue or correction

Use this form for a chess club, a regular chess evening in a café or a recurring tournament in Vienna or one of the towns nearby that the directory lacks, or for an entry that is wrong or out of date. Players, parents, trainers, club officials and café staff are all welcome to write.

A link helps more than anything: the club's own page, a federation notice or a dated post. Messages are read together at the next revision and compared with that page, and every change that follows is dated in the amendments.

What is your message about?
For a new place: what chess happens there and on which day. For a mistake: which part of the entry is wrong.
Paste the link of a page, notice or post that confirms it.
Only so that we know who wrote; it never appears on the site.
A phone number or a messenger account, if you prefer not to give an email address.

Leave at least one contact. Nobody else sees it; it is only used for questions about your message.

How the contents of this form are handled is set out in the privacy and data protection statement.

What happens next

  • Messages are kept until the directory is next revised and are then read together.
  • Each one is compared with the club's or organiser's own pages; where they confirm it, the entry is changed and the date goes into the amendments.
  • Where no page backs it up, the entry stays as it is, including any unconfirmed status it already shows.
  • There is a reply only if you request one and give a way to reach you.
